Refunds

Nothing on this site takes money, so this page is mostly a promise about what happens if that ever changes.

This document is not finished.

It is missing details that have to be true of a real person, and inventing them would be worse than leaving the gap. Set LEGAL_OPERATOR_NAME, LEGAL_CONTACT_EMAIL and LEGAL_GOVERNING_STATE in the deployment environment.

LEGAL_OPERATOR_NAME — who operates the site and is accountable for the data on it
LEGAL_CONTACT_EMAIL — an address people can use to ask for their data or have it deleted
LEGAL_GOVERNING_STATE — the US state whose law governs these terms

Nothing is charged

aliinuka is free to use. There is no paid plan you can currently buy, no subscription, no trial that converts, and no payment details are asked for or stored anywhere. There is no checkout on this site and no payment processor connected to it.

So there is nothing to refund, and you will never find a charge from us on a statement. If you ever do, it is not us — write to the contact address and tell us, because it would mean somebody is using the name.

No paid plans

The home page used to describe paid tiers as ideas that were not open. It no longer does: there are no paid plans, described or otherwise, and nothing on this site has a price.

If paid plans ever open

Then this page gets rewritten before a single payment is taken, not after, and it will say at least:

What you are buying, what it costs, and how often you are charged.
How to cancel, in one step, from inside your account.
A cooling-off period, and a plain refund window for anyone who changes their mind.
Who processes the payment, since that becomes somebody new handling your details and belongs in the privacy policy too.

Until every one of those is true and written here, no payment will be taken.

Losing access

The site may change or stop existing — see the terms. Because it is free, that costs you nothing but your record, which is why it is worth asking for a copy of your data if it matters to you. The privacy policy says how.

Written to describe what this site actually does, and checked against the code rather than adapted from a template. It is not legal advice, and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer.
